With his trained eye and keen sense, he pays attention to every detail – from the appearance and smell to the consistency and taste. In doing so, he always strives to meet the high expectations of his father.

Over 150 specialties

Hartmut Munzert’s favorite thing to do is to put the company’s own sausages on the grill.
When you ask him about his favorite Munzert sausage, it takes a while before he decides on the Black Ham.
Nevertheless, he likes them all – the more than 150 different sausage, ham and meat specialties that his company produces.

2013

Supra-regional self-service business
Hartmut Munzert paves the way for the supra-regional self-service business with the QS certification and the certification for the quality marks “Tested Quality from Bavaria and Franconia” and the “Regional Window”.

2011

4,000 tons
Increasing quantities of 4,000 tons per year require a further extension for production, packaging and storage.

2010

Certifications
The company has been successfully certified according to IFS and BRC.

Hermann Munzert
Hermann Munzert retires and hands over the management to Hartmut Munzert.

2005

Export
Hermann and Hartmut Munzert start with self-service items and begin their export activities.

2002

Factory outlet
The company has its own factory outlet.

2001

Munzert Rehau Frauenberg II
New modern Munzert plant in the Frauenberg II industrial park in Rehau starts production.

1998

New production concept
The constant increase in sales and the lack of an EG approval at the Schwarzenbach site make it necessary to redesign the production process.

1992

Inauguration of the new building
Inauguration of the new building in Schwarzenbach an der Saale, where around 45 tons of meat and sausage products are produced weekly. The customers are bulk consumers, traders and retail chains throughout Germany.

1990

Establishment of the GmbH
With increasing sales, the Munzert GmbH is established, Hermann Munzert is the owner and managing director.

1989

Master’s examination
Hartmut Munzert successfully passes the master’s examination in the butcher’s trade.

1982

Training
Hartmut Munzert starts an apprenticeship in his father’s company.

1980

Takeover of the Gustke butcher’s shop
Hermann Munzert takes over the Gustke butcher’s shop with a few branches and founds his own company.

1959

The beginning of the butcher’s shop
Grandfather Willi Munzert founds his own butcher’s shop in Schwarzenbach am Wald.
